"Art To Wear" Challenge, Juried Show
2027 Art to Wear entries must be an original concept designed and created by the artist. We acknowledge that an artist’s submission may have previously been displayed at another show. If so, please provide information of the date/location where your design was displayed in your application.
The 2027 Art to Wear item must be completely wearable. This applies to all major components of the piece, but does not include undergarments meant as a background to the pieces.
Models selected for the show will wear the item in rehearsal and in the shows. Models must be able to access and remove the item easily, with no sharp or blunt edges. Any additional jewelry, headwear, gloves, or footwear should be provided—particularly if they are included in the overall design by the artist. The artist should provide detailed instructions for the item and any undergarments or accompanying pieces, i.e., footwear that they recommend, with the item’s size specifications. This is most important if the artist does not attend the rehearsal or show. Models may attend the reception immediately following the show, for a brief "up close" display of the work.
Application Process: Complete the Pre-Registration Agreement, 2027 Art to Wear below, and you will be notified of acceptance within ten days of receipt of your agreement, or by March 1, 2027.
The Darl Center will provide mailing or delivery information upon acceptance. The 2027 Art to Wear item must be received at The Darl Center fpr the Arts by March 15, 2027, and will be returned or available for pick-up April 1, 2027.
